Ezekiel 40-48 Important Point – Not A Prophecy

Ezekiel 40-48

This is not a prophecy according to the reasons why this vision was given to Ezekiel.

Why did God describe the Temple in Ezekiel 40 to 48?

What wording does God give us to help us understand why this temple is being described?

It’s here:

10 “Son of man, describe the temple to the house of Israel,

➡️➡️that they may be ashamed of their iniquities;⬅️⬅️

and let them measure the pattern. 11 And if they are ashamed of all that they have done, make known to them the design of the temple and its arrangement, its exits and its entrances, its entire design and all its ordinances, all its forms and all its laws. Write it down in their sight, so that they may keep its whole design and all its ordinances, and perform them.

Ezekiel 43:10-11 (NKJV)

It’s that simple. The purpose of the description of the Temple in Ezekiel is that the House of Israel would be ashamed of their iniquities.

Oh, and by the way, this vision was given LONG before the Second Temple was built.
